Congressman Russell Fry (SC-07) Calls on the Biden Administration to Unilaterally Support the State of Israel and to Ensure the Release of Hostages Held by Hamas Terrorists

Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Russell Fry (SC-07) and sixteen other Republican members sent a letter to President Biden urging the administration to show unilateral support for Israel and to ensure the release of the hostages still held captive by Hamas terrorists.

These members recently returned from Israel, where they witnessed the devastating destruction of Israel from the terrorist attacks.

Since the devastating assault carried out against Israel on October 7, 2023 — at least 133 individuals remain in Hamas captivity, including five presumed American citizens.

The United States has a responsibility to use its status as a leader on the world stage to support our dear friend and ally and condemn the suffering of innocent victims at the hands of a terrorist organization. This administration must provide unwavering support to Israel in order to defeat these terrorists and ensure the safe release of hostages.
