Congressman Russell Fry Appointed to the House Committee on Judiciary for the 119th Congress
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Russell Fry (SC-07) has been selected by the House Republican Steering Committee to serve on the House Committee on the Judiciary for the 119th Congress.
The House Committee on the Judiciary is known as the “lawyer for the House of Representatives.” It is one of the House's most well-known committees, responsible for ensuring transparency and justice on the federal level. It also covers issues relating to immigration, crime, civil liberties, border security, intellectual property, and combating human trafficking.
This will be Congressman Fry’s second term serving on the House Judiciary Committee. In addition to the House Committee on Judiciary, Congressman Fry was also appointed to serve on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce for the 119th Congress.
“I am looking forward to serving on the House Committee on the Judiciary again in the 119th Congress,” said Congressman Fry. “This is an immensely important committee that upholds checks and balances and protects American citizens. Throughout the 118th Congress, we held the Biden administration accountable and worked to weed out the weaponization of our federal government. Working with President Trump, Chairman Jim Jordan, and House Republican leadership, we will remain focused on addressing critical issues and upholding the Constitution.”
“We're excited to have Rep. Russell Fry join the House Judiciary Committee again for the 119th Congress,” said Chairman Jim Jordan. “Under the leadership of President Trump, House Republicans are committed to securing the border, strengthening our nation, and defending the fundamental freedoms we hold as Americans. We look forward to working closely with Rep. Fry as we stand together to deliver results for the American people.”
