Congressman Russell Fry (SC-07) Celebrates the Passage of the National Defense Authorization Act for FY2024

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Russell Fry (SC-07) issued the following statement celebrating the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024

“Today, House Republicans proudly passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2024. The FY24 NDAA supports our men and women in uniform by including the largest increase in servicemember basic pay in 20 years, puts a stop to woke priorities infiltrating our military, ends taxpayer-funded abortions in the DOD, strengthens programs to counter the Chinese Communist Party's aggression, increases oversight of the Biden administration, assists the 8,000 servicemembers discharged for refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine, and supports our allies overseas like Israel and Taiwan. The NDAA bolsters vital parts of our military and cuts back inefficient and pointless programs that have no business being funded by defense spending in the first place. Like with most everything else, the Biden administration has weakened our military and allowed woke initiatives to be prioritized over core functions. I am proud to have voted YES today to put our troops first, strengthen our country’s national defense, and protect the conservative values of South Carolina’s Grand Strand and Pee Dee.”

Today the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024 passed the House of Representatives 219-210.
