Congressman Russell Fry (SC-07) Launches Inquiry into Reports of Migrants Being Brought into Myrtle Beach area

Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Russell Fry sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas regarding the recent reports that migrants are being brought to the Myrtle Beach, SC area.

Because of the Biden administration’s policies, or rather lack thereof, illegal migrants are not deterred from entering the United States illegally. And now, illegal migrants have made their way into the interior of the country, potentially including South Carolina’s Seventh District.

The information requested is necessary to understand the effects of the border crisis and how it is impacting South Carolina’s Seventh District.

Congressman Fry serves on the House Judiciary Committee, the House Oversight Committee, and the Select Committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.
